Hometown retro diner located in scenic West Yellowstone Montana, walking distance from one of America's most treasured national parks. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager to join our team. This position will oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, manage staff, ensure customer satisfaction, and help to maximize profitability. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, and understand the importance of customer service. Start Date, April 2025. Salary compensation will be split between two operating seasons. Annual bonuses will be paid after summer season, based on operational benchmarks including Sales, Labor, and Inventory Management. Two four week unpaid vacation periods between operating seasons. Rental Credit stipend provided for local housing included in compensation. General Manager Restaurant Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement restaurant policies and procedures Monitor the restaurant’s performance and identify areas of improvement Ensure the restaurant is aligned with safety and sanitation standards Manage food and supplies orders Manage staff scheduling, hiring, and training including local staff and international J-1 student workers Manage budget and ensure the restaurant is meeting financial goals Resolve complaints to ensure customer satisfaction Analyze customer feedback and implement changes to improve the service General Manager Restaurant Requirements and Qualifications Proven track record of successful management Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures 2+ years of experience in the restaurant industry preferred Post High School education in business, hospitality, or related field preferred. Sample Operational Calendar and Compensation Summer Season: 30 Weeks, 75% of Annual Salary ($43,000 - $45,000) April 13th - Manager/Ownership Prep April 20th - Crew Prep (Open April 25th) 28 Weeks of operation November 2nd - Shutdown Week 4 Weeks Unpaid Break Winter Season: 15 Weeks, 25% of Annual Salary ($12,000 - $15,000) December 7th - Winter Prep (OpenDecember 12th) 13 Weeks of Operation March 15th Shutdown Week 4 Weeks Unpaid Break Rental Credit - $12,000 total credit, $1000 a month
